Our community has students who are in high need of support. They come from families who are financially strained and don't have access to the same opportunities as their peers in other places. The pandemic has only exacerbated their unfortunate circumstances. The students are more isolated, less nurtured, and falling behind more and more in their development. Opportunity is our mentor program, and utilizes tutorial, mentoring, and physical fitness to help students overcome their circumstances. We want to tend to the whole child. Therefore, we feed the students, provide tutorial, and teach the students sports. Our primary sport at the moment is basketball. It enables us to provide a physical outlet and teach mental skills of coping with adversary. We are in need of more basketball equipment to enable more students and their families access. Thank you.
