You are a reader. Picture this-you are at home doing distance learning because you have a medical condition and you are a teen who isn't into reading because you've never seen a book that has characters on the cover that look like you. You do a Zoom with your teacher and they have a bunch of books on stands facing you and you start to feel excited. Your teacher shows you a book and starts paging through it. Your teacher arranges for you to get the book at home and when you receive it you open it and it's colorful and you can read the words and you see yourself and it's funny and at times it's sad and you love it. It feels real. You are hooked. You are a reader.
