We will be doing straight edge and compass constructions such as segment and angle bisectors, in geometry and need to have quality tools in order to be accurate. At the moment the only compasses we have will not hold position. They wind up drawing an oval instead of a circle. Students gain a much deeper understanding of geometry when they are able to do these constructions by hand. They also have their own laptops and often need to charge them during class. There are only a few outlets in my classroom so the charging towers will be extremely helpful.
