"When little people are overwhelmed by big emotions, it's our job to share our calm, not join their chaos." My calming room with its soft beanbag chair, stress balls, diffuser and calming oils will be beneficial to every student who is experiencing overwhelming emotions. It's a safe place for them to regain control of their emotions without being humiliated or embarrassed by others looking. Many of our students suffer anxiety attacks and with the calming room they can refocus and go through that attack in private. The calming room to the student is like an umbrella in a storm, to provide protection from the rain. It's there for them to use when they're in their own personal storm. Items selected will be used to help the students social emotional needs. Many times our senses are connected to our emotions so the diffuser and essentials oils will be used to calm senses. Kids can use the books to learn more about their emotions and the chairs are there to make them comfortable
