Students are not able to be active enough inside the classroom, by giving them an option to stand, they can move around more. The desk has a fidget bar to keep their feet and legs moving, and the student will have a stool to sit on when they need to. Students who have issues with hyperactivity do not have an outlet to move when they are sitting all day, this will allow them wiggle room and help them to stay focused on what they are needing to do. I plan to keep adding to this one desk over time so that each of my students will have one.
