Students will utilize white board markers in the classroom to create a tactile way to solve problems. They are able to write on desks to allow them freedom to work out problems, erase and restart. This gives them a chance to try and make mistakes that don't feel permanent. If this is fully funded, my students will have access to more supplies than normal. Students at my school are grades 6th through 8th in the Baton Rouge area. Our teachers spend much of their own money to provide supplies for their classrooms. Students are always looking for pencils and pens so they can complete their math work or write an essay. The white board markers are used by students to write on the desk and use a more tactile method for completing work. By purchasing these items, it will provide materials for teachers and students in the classroom. Most of the students are from a low income background and can really use these supplies in the classroom. A little will really go a long way at our school. Thank you for donating.
