My first grade students need help in getting the best usage of the Chromebooks they are using at home. Each student has been given a Chromebook to take home to use for online learning. Most students are new to using Chromebooks. Many families have never owned a Chromebook before. My district has paid for many online resources, but my students find using a Chromebook difficult to navigate. I'm confident that connecting a mouse to the Chromebook will allow students to maneuver through the required steps to get to quality classwork and educational programs. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student capabilities, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will use the mouse with the Chromebook at their own home in their individual working space to engage more effectively in classroom Zoom sessions and asynchronous work assigned to them in Google Classroom. My hope is that students will be able to review current learning and, also, explore academic interests that will increase their engagement in learning while away from a classroom environment.
