My students have previously learned about glass art created by Dale Chihuly. They were so excited by his art but a little disappointed that our project used plastic instead of glass. In the end, they were pleased with their creations. However, these materials will make a difference in students learning by giving them an opportunity to relate to his art in an exciting way by creating their own glass art. They will also learn the importance of giving and what better way to give than giving something of yourself like art.
