With the climate of our world, it is most important than ever to expose students to different perspectives. For too long, we have had a limited selection of authors and stories in schools. We need to teach students how to question the standard and make their voices heard. We need students to see themselves in the pages of books they read for school. By bringing more diverse texts into the classroom, students are able to expand their horizons. Please help bring these diverse stories into my classroom and help open the eyes of my students to worlds and ideas of others.
