Given the difficult times we are living in mostly attributed to unknown of the COVID-19 status, many educators, including myself are limited to what materials we can give or share with our students. To make this year as meaningful and musical as possible, this fundraiser is to help provide my on-campus students with an egg shaker and pair of rhythm sticks, so they can still have a hands-on experience in music class. Additionally, items in this fundraiser include easy to disinfect materials that would a great source of assessment. Lastly, books and other manipulatives are included to provide for a more engaging and fun learning environment. My students really look forward to using instruments in the class and make the most meaningful connections to music content when they are provided a hands-on approach! My greatest hope for this year is to give my elementary students a chance to connect to music emotionally and physically appropriately to help them feel and explore themselves through this difficult year.
