We are a new classroom in a growing school and need to build up our classroom library. Currently, we are using online resources when possible and public library books for read alouds. My class is filled with students who want to learn to read and want to become stronger readers. They need books so they can be engaged and immersed in literacy. Students will have these books all around them when we are able to be in class and during distance learning, they will be able to choose which books they want to read when it is time to read with me in small groups and one-on-one reading sessions. Student excitement about books is so important in their journey to becoming lifelong lovers of reading. Please help us to begin to build our classroom library and get students more motivated than ever to read!
