This novel will engage all my middle-level students to ask more questions, to be curious about our environment, and help develop solutions to problems given to us by nature. I am sure it will pique their interest in reading novels as well as push them to consider science-driven careers. Reading for middle schoolers is all about catching their attention and holding it. This novel will definitely do that and leaving them wanting more novels. Not only will they understand the characters, setting, and plot, they will make a connection to the problems that need to be solved.
