Each child in my classroom absolutely loves reading, and needs plenty of opportunities to engage in high interest expository texts, as they prepare for the upper grades and beyond. Scholastic News magazine provides students with the resources that they need to succeed. Our classroom conducts daily classroom meetings to support their social and emotional growth. A new carpet will help them find a comfortable place to share and support each other, as they adjust to in-person learning. The carpet will also be used for flexible seating which allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. The oil pastels will be used to create classroom art projects and will help the creativity to flow. Art is an important aspect of a child's development.
