A dishwasher in the classroom will make sanitizing lab and culinary arts equipment in the classroom fast and easy. I emphasize teaching students valuable life skills, such as cooking, that students will use for a lifetime. In chemistry we learn the chemistry of cooking and put our new found knowledge to work creating delicious healthy foods. In health class we learn about how different food affect the body and how to cook and prepare a healthy meal for our families. In microbiology we culture our own yogurt and lacto-fermented vegetables. All this cooking creates a mess! But for good reason. Many of my students have never learned to cook fresh and healthy foods. Many of our families rely on food pantries, fast food, and other inexpensive ways to feed their families. I want to teach children not only science but a valuable lesson they can put to good use at home, cooking inexpensive healthy meals. So please consider donating to our cause so we can get a dishwasher to clean and sanitize all those dirty dishes and lab equipment. Our school is a family and we thank you fro supporting us.
