My project is to bring my students basic and prior knowledge, which they lack. My students are visual and tactile learners. I need to help establish background knowledge in my students. I need to bring my students up to grade level while still addressing the standards of the grade level they are currently in. Using the US and World maps will help me demonstrate continent, country, state, and cities and will also help the students better understand places in US history. In math, the Place Value Blocks and Magnetic visuals will enable my students to visualize the concepts of number sense and amount. The students need to SEE the quantity of objects, as in the Math Manipulative Library and the Place Value Blocks.
