The students in our school are very diverse and have faced so much adversity. With COVID and racism being prominent issues this year, I want to take a moment to teach students about various cultures along with providing them emotional support through interactive read-alouds. These books will not only help my virtual classroom, but also the rest of my team who are teaching in person. It will be a shared resource that we will use during our literacy blocks to further student learning. Hopefully our classroom library will expand even more in the upcoming years so we can provide even more support to our learners.

About my class
