I will use the calendar during our math lessons both in the classroom as well as during distance learning. Students will work on a variety of learning goals such as identifying the date, weather, writing number sentences, counting money, place value, number counting, and telling time. Calendar time will provide students with the opportunity to gain leadership and public speaking skills. Calendar Leader will be an important job in our classroom as a different student will be chosen each week to lead calendar time. The calendar will provide for my students a variety of skills that are essential in the 2nd grade!
