Preschoolers learn through visual, play, and hands on experiences. We encourage this in the preschool classroom by giving them tons of opportunities to play. However, during center time it would be beneficial for the students to have an opportunity to use technology. Unfortunately at this time the students don't have that opportunity since we do not have any technology devices in our classroom that students can use. By having iPad's it will give my students opportunities to work on math, language, and fine motor skills through technology. It will also get them prepared for Kindergarten where they will be expected to use it daily. As well as help when working with students in the classroom who are hearing impaired, have speech apraxia and behavior issues who need different learning opportunities.
