In an effort to increase and maintain high level of student engagement while in the virtual learning setting. I would like to reward students with headphones, puzzle books, journals, etc; based on an interest survey completed at the start of the school year. Those students will be nominated based on factors of engagement during live sessions and during independent learning time. This reward system will help to motivate others and demonstrate the truth in the saying that "hard work pays off!" I am pleased with the effort my students have put into school despite the circumstances of living through a pandemic. They have shown determination to overcome challenges with technology and/or lack of environmental support. Still yet they push through, show up, and perform. Using data from our student portal and online classroom platforms I will collect information regarding: attendance, participation, assignment completion rates, and academic performance to make determinations for awards as related to the interest survey they completed.
