The materials I am requesting will enable my students to stay healthy within our classroom. Based on the data from the CDC, having clean air within the school is essential. As students are wearing their masks and working, the air purifier will allow clear air to flow more easily. Using the infrared thermometer will enable daily check-ins of students' temperature to keep our school community safe. More importantly, as students replace their masks throughout the day, having closed garbage can prevent any air-borne bacteria from escaping into the purified airflow. The teaching materials will be an essential part of guiding my students to understand many fundamental math and writing skills. The magnetic place value set will allow students to look at how numbers are written in different ways visually. Students will be able to draw a model of the base ten blocks to make a mathematical connection. The literature anchor materials will support my students in understanding the concepts of answering text-dependent questions and improving their sentence structure. Overall, the dry erase lined notebook chart paper, and the magnets will enable me to sanitize these sheets daily and move anchor charts throughout the room as needed. More importantly, my goals will be assisting students academically and keeping each student healthy and safe
