The materials that I'm requesting will be used weekly in my classroom. With budget cuts, our Scholastic News subscription was the first thing to go. Students were always looking forward to reading these in classroom. Scholastic News will allow my class to learn about the world around them in an fun and engaging way. As a class, we will read these together and answer the comprehension questions. Scholastic News will let my students learn about text features in a fun way. Through the digital access, I am able to access videos, vocabulary games and extra materials that will facilitate their learning. With everything going digital, it is hard for the little ones to navigate computers and iPads. Having an actual magazine in their hands would be so helpful.
