My students all have ASD. They are prone to melt-downs or get over-stimulated. This room would provide them with a relaxed, calm atmosphere where they could de-escalate in privacy without the rest of the class watching over them hiding in a corner of the classroom. I am fortunate to have this space to provide for them, but now I need items to put in this space for them. This project would help them to learn how to utilize outside resources to stabilize. It would allow for them to have the ability to "choose" how they will de-compress. Once they de-compress, learning can continue. This project does not reach virtual learners as it will be physically at the school, and they are all sensory items that are being requested. Anything that you could give would be so greatly appreciated. You would forever be in our hearts. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
