Due to the COVID all our amazing community has been affected, from us as teachers to parents and kids, we all are experiencing a huge change. I have to say that all of us are putting in a lot of effort to make it work since day one. Every day I call and receive calls from parents asking for help with tech support or any other issue they might have. Also I make 1:1 sessions with students to help them with any work they might have trouble with, and also make small grade support groups to explain a topic they are working in their grades. In order to keep it up and optimal, I'm requesting a new computer that I will use during my 1:1 and small groups sessions, helping my students in Math, English, Spanish and any other subject assignments, I will also use it to create videos, slides, charts or any extra help my students might need; to meet families online, attend to staff/IEP meetings and overall improve my students' learning from home experience. Having a new computer will help me to provide my students with a better learning experience that will motivate and engage them in these difficult times. My objective is to use the most of my working time improving my tech skills in order to offer my students the learning opportunities they deserve.
