Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our school has decided to keep a remote learning environment to keep students and families safe. Because this way of learning was so new to all teachers, there were many technology struggles that we faced daily. For example, there were times when I felt I couldn't teach an effect lesson without restarting my school issued computer because it froze often. Other times, the laptop would disconnect from the internet in the middle of helping a student. I’ve actually needed to teach lessons from my phone because I can’t stay connected to WiFi. This created a lot of frustration not only for myself, but for my students as well. Unfortunately, without updated technology, I'm worried that learning will not be effective and engaging as it should be. This will help with teaching a smooth, uninterrupted lesson I believe that with a MacBook Air, I wouldn't face the issues that will effect my student's ability to learn. I will be able to conduct lessons without my laptop freezing or kicking me out of GoogleMeet lessons because my current laptop doesn’t stay connected to WiFi. My students deserve a creative, engaging, and uninterrupted remote learning experience!
