These books can and will help in the classroom because they will offer my students a chance to read about experiences others have had throughout our world's cultures and histories. My main goal is to open my students' eyes to aspects of life that they may have never heard about and expose them to the diverse voices that make up our past, current, and even future (their generation) civilizations. I hope by showing them these stories, my students will be able to make connections and relationships with others around them through understanding and open-mindedness.
