I will be seeing my middle school art students in my classroom only during our first semester of the school year and will be teaching virtually for the second semester. I want to make sure I utilize the time I have been given with them to instruct them in ways I wouldn't be able to if they were at home. Doing a Plein Air event with my 8th graders on our school grounds is the perfect way to get them to focus on their observational painting skills and give them an outlet to use art as therapy during this difficult time.
