I teach technology to middle school students. Many can't see how technology goes beyond the computer. They only see that technology can help them in the classroom. The students can make things that can be used outside the classroom. I want them to see how a 3D printer can make their imaginations come alive. The 3D printer will allow for some hands-on practice applications with technology. So many of them want to be professional athletes they don't want to learn how to use technology. A 3D printer will get them excited.
