I teach three subjects virtually: math 8, Algebra 1, and Science! In an attempt to find a way to help students virtually, I am coming up short. The document camera will provide students a way to track notes visually instead of learning verbally and will give me an easy way to record key ideas that otherwise might be forgotten! In addition to this, when students return to school, they can use the document camera to share their own ideas and work! This will help with social development when in person, and visual learning virtually! They deserve the same kind of education at home that they would receive in class. The issue is that without the document camera, I fall short of those goals. I want to see them succeed but too often I feel that I am teaching with two hands tied behind my back. The document camera helps in that it provides a connection to students, virtually and in class. Help me be the teacher they deserve.
