My students read an essay by Yousafzai that allows them to identify her argument and evidence. I think the bigger story will be inspirational and help them to dig deeper into how an author develops an argument with evidence. Her story is one that are familiar with and one that also touches on the importance of not only education, but finding your voice. I think having access to a book that tells her story gives them the opportunity to understand not just owning their voice, but creating a work around a monumnetal life story.
