My students require extensive social training to be successful throughout the school year. For the first time my special needs class will have to adjust to social norms unlike any before. These materials are necessary to ensure my specific population of students have sufficient supplies to maintain safe social distancing during the pandemic. You may not realize that some children with autism require extensive, explicit redirection and will require substantial amounts of safety equipment and supplies to be in compliance. Although the city has pledged to supply schools with Personal Protective Equipment, I know my class will always require higher quantities. Please help me teach my students about safety procedures without the risk of running out of masks, wipes or gloves. The paper goods are to ensure each child can have a personal supply, in addition to the items provided by their families.
