My students need to have materials that they can manipulate to help them build an understanding of numbers. These requested materials will help them build fact fluency. They will also be used as tools for word problems. Each of my students needs their own math tool kit to use at school and home. The materials I have requested will give them the materials they need to succeed in math. These materials are essential for students during distance learning and in person, to help them understand the connections between quantities and numbers, and to allow students to create their own visual pattern to help learn fact fluency. My students need ten frames and rekenreks to be able to build and manipulate numbers in many different ways.
