Five year olds are not designed to sit in a chair for long periods of time! I want to provide my little students seating options so they are more comfortable and able to wiggle as needed throughout the day! Flexible seating options such as wobble stools, textured seat cushions and weighted balls, not only meet their sensory needs, but also allow them the autonomy to choose which type of seating will best meet their needs each day. I have a variety of special needs represented in my classroom each year, and having resources to help them be more confident in a school environment.
