Our students are almost ready to transition back into the classroom. Their classroom experience will be a bit different this year and I want to make sure we have the tools necessary to acclimate to their new classroom experience. To reduce foot traffic in our school, teachers will be physically changing classes to make sure students get all subjects everyday. I plan on using the cart to teach math and transport math manipulatives or other essential materials to my students in different classes.I am a first year teacher during a pandemic, and I am in need of hands on manipulatives to strengthen old and new math skills.By having a large set of Unifix cubes, I am able to provide my students with hands-on activities throughout my three 2-hour classes, thus allowing me to disinfect all the materials daily instead disinfecting them during the transition of back to back classes. I need more Expo markers to be able to provide one marker for every student and be able to disinfect at the end of each day. The cleaning supplies will assist with disinfecting materials everyday. This would benefit my students because this will help them have access to clean manipulatives to support their learning in math. I cannot wait to meet my students once it safe to do so.
