These books will help my students understand the importance of kindness and empathy. Books are a wonderful way to engage young students while teaching ideas and concepts. Through stories, children can identify with characters and situations that they otherwise may not have thought about. These books vary from teaching self- understanding, compassion and empathy for oneself to how to treat others with kindness and understanding. This year more than ever, it's important to for students to be able to understand their feelings and how to be empathetic toward other people.
