This year, our school has given the students roles as innovators and creators. In keeping with that theme, I have decided that I wanted to continue those efforts through project-based learning. Throughout the year students will be engaged in a variety of projects such as 'How to Keep Our Bodies Healthy' and 'Building a Better Community.' In our ever changing world, it is not only important that students are aware of what is happening, but it is equally as important that they are involved. With this project, students will learn about what is happening in the world around them through read alouds, independent reading, and online research. Then, they will use that knowledge to advocate for change in their own community through writing projects.
