These materials will help make a bright and inviting print-rich space for my newcomer students, newly arrived in the U.S. As my students learn English, environmental print such as the calendar helps students visualize and revisit learned content throughout the day. The seat pockets will help my students keep necessary school supplies within reach while avoiding cross-contamination. The area rug with the letters, numbers, and shapes will help define our center area and students will be taught to reference the rug while working on reading, writing, and math skills. I hope the inspirational posters will serve to remind my students that they are important and loved and that the future is theirs!
