My students absolutely love to cozy up to an exciting book of their choice based on their own specific reading level. It's important that each student feels that he or she has a sense of ownership in their classroom, which is why I choose to order those nice colorful vibrant floor seats for the group, as well as the neat colorful reading baggies the students can use for their reading books to transport back and forth from home to school. My students feel more confident when they have visuals to help them understand their learning process, especially knowing their are books in their library at different learning levels, and those books are non-fiction, which helps them to relate to the real world. Students can learn more effectively when they can manipulate learning activities like, the number of the day, the place value manipulative kit, and the phonics kit.
