For my students, social-emotional learning and self-regulation skills are constantly taught and reinforced. Sensory tools are important in helping with self-regulation. My students need a variety of sensory tools so they can choose one that fits their unique sensory needs. My students each have different needs, so having a choice of sensory tools will allow them to try out different tools, and see which one works best for them. My students will be able to use these tools in the classroom in different ways. They will use them while they are listening to instruction and during independent work time to help with focus. They will also use them in our classroom "break area," for those students who need extra break time during the school day.
