As a teacher, it is incredibly important to me that my students are provided with quality books that both engage, and enlighten. I hope to use our library as a way to provide students with windows into the lives and perspectives of those around them, along with providing them with the chance to read books with mirrors, that reflect their own lives and experiences. Today, we are so lucky to have so many incredible books that promote diversity, inclusivity, and empathy. I would love to use this opportunity on DonorsChoose to raise funds that will continue to build and update our classroom library. With the current restrictions in schools, our classroom library will be our main source of books throughout the year. With so much emphasis on the books we have in our room, I want to ensure that my library is in perfect shape to get students excited about reading this school year!
