This is my first year at my new school. Upon setting up my classroom, I am noticing items I could already use to engage and enhance the educational experience of my fifth grade students. We are asking for a class set of binders to help with organization, as well as a class set of dry erase clipboards. These clipboards serve double purpose- we can use them to hold our papers as we move around the classroom, as well as to have a whiteboard to use for math facts, language arts practice, and much more. My students are hard working, innovative, engaged scholars who thrive on hands-on opportunities. We've also requested card and dice games to help engage us in hands-on math practice.
