I've always envisioned a classroom that celebrates diversity and inspires students to be the best versions of themselves. I believe social-emotional success is fundamental in achieving academic success. I want to make sure my students and I have the necessary tools to navigate through an uncertain school year. Despite starting remote, I'll be available through pre-recorded lessons as well as live instruction. I want my classroom to be warm and welcoming for whenever my students are able to be back in school. I also want to be able to show my students their classroom through our live meetings. I believe this will give them hope and something to look forward to for when we are able to be back in the classroom. The items I selected will be used intentionally and meaningfully in setting up my classroom. As a first year teacher, I'm starting with a blank canvas and any help is deeply appreciated.
