These books will be used in my narrative unit. While my students are learning to write rich narratives about themselves, I will read aloud these stories with them at home through our Zoom meetings. Providing them with the books will allow them to following along annotating and make notes of anything that resonates with them such as character's perspectives and events. We will stop to discuss important scenes. The goal is to provide relatable stories or have a new shared understanding of the humanity and lives of other students. We will also have rich in class discussions to build our classroom community.
