As a teacher, my goal is to create a learning environment that promotes positive interactions and strong character. The whiteboard, markers, and chart paper will provide mini-lessons to help meet the needs of our diverse student population. I am beginning mini-lessons with student groups at my school. These mini-lessons will focus on self-esteem, writing, math and language arts to bring learning to life. In order to make distance learning more successful and accessible to my students, they will need their own whiteboards to show their work, as well as markers, chart paper, and a rolling whiteboard to facilitate lessons in the classroom as well as distance learning. I will be able to provide thinking maps and visual aids for my students during my lessons. This will help with vocabulary development and comprehension of the topics discussed. With the charts created, we will also be able to review and revisit our lessons as they develop into students of character. These whiteboards will increase learning opportunities for all of my students in the classroom as well as distance learning.
