Books are our portals to the world and all of its wonder. This school year, my students need books more than ever, but many of them do not have access to books at home. This project will enhance my classroom library for years to come, while more immediately enabling me to send home a variety of high interest books for students to practice their emerging reading skills. I also look forward to reading many of these books aloud to my students during our remote learning sessions, creating a sense of community during this difficult time.
