Scholastic News magazines are a wonderful resource for the students to learn from. The will learn about real world events on their level. They will build reading comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and focus on main idea and details. Scholastic News magazines are fun to read and each student will have their very own copy. They will be able to read the articles and answer comprehension questions based off of what they have read. I think that the magazines will excite my first grade students to want to read even more. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student reading skills, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
