Half of these books will be used for read alouds over Zoom to keep virtual learning engaging and relaxing. The other books are graphic novels intended to give my middle grade English language learners exciting reads at home accompanied by visuals for better understanding. All of the books are meant to provide students either a window into the experiences of others or a mirror of their own lived experiences. The graphic novels will give students confidence and create a love for reading. The read aloud books are meant to model fluency, book handling, and a love for literature that I am hoping to pass on to students.
