The incoming semester will be a big challenge for both my students and me. As we continue to social distance in order to address COVID-19, most of my students will stay at home and learn Mandarin remotely. Schools have turned to technology to keep students’ learning on track. I will rely on live demonstration on writing characters stroke by stroke to my entry-level students, which requires me to be equipped with an advanced and multi-functioned writing pad and a pen aligned with my PowerPoint slides and Word Doc. This way, students will be able to see how I would write characters stroke by stroke. Also, with the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, I will be able to highlight the radical of each character with different colors, which is a useful strategy for my students who are visual learners. Please help my students and me by giving us some support. Thank you very much.
