I am requesting books, resources from Teachers Pay Teachers, masks and disinfecting wipes. I want my students to feel safe when we go into the classrooms. We have a new normal and one way to get them to be comfortable is to make them part of the process. Having them be responsible for their masks and cleaning their area not only for themselves but the student after them. My students need to see diversity in the classroom. Even though I'm a math teacher helping them see books written about kids who look like them will give them that much of a boost to be confident in who they are. There are so many teachers helping teachers and I find so many amazing resources on TPT. The gift cards will help me not only with resources but with time that I can spend on something else to prepare my kids for the year.
