School is very different this year as opposed to others. Despite everything, teachers have gained a new sense of inspiration for helping students. Although virtual learning has brought challenges, we are determied to prepare our students for learning and hopefully soon return to campus one day. Not only will these tools be helpful in class, but through virtual learning as well. Creating an environment where our students feel welcomed while they learn, given the necessary tools, is of the most importance. My favorite part of our class routine is story time and still being able to read to them, although through a screen, brings both the students and myself joy. In order to give my students a variety of genres to choose from, I want to expand my book collection. As for myself, I am a visual learner, which is why I believe books are important for a child's development. Books allow students to not only expand their vocabulary, but let them visualize how a word or sentence may present itself in their own lives.
