As I rebuild the art program in my school, I find it difficult to find a place to store new items. Recently I was able to introduce ceramics and printmaking to my classrooms. I was very proud of that! Having the ability to give my students new opportunities to experiment and create with a wide range materials. I have been grateful to receive more materials and create exiting and fun new projects with my students . My focus these past three years working at my school has been to rebuild the art program. A goal which I am slowly achieving.
I know that keeping an organized classroom benefits my students and preventing a chaotic environment. Unfortunately I have never been able to fit into my budget the purchase of cabinets. This is something that I have attempted to fund or receive in my classroom for the past two years. Cabinets tend to amount to half my budget for the school year, and not leave enough room for the purchase of new materials. As I create new and exiting projects with my students, I find myself needing extra space for those materials.
